Nonpartisanship Statement

YouthConnect Network is nonpartisan. Chapters serve everyone in their community regardless of political belief. We support civic learning, service, resident engagement, and appropriate youth participation in local decision-making. We do not support partisan political activity of any kind.

• Learn how local government, HOAs, school boards, and civic institutions actually work.
• Invite public officials to speak, in a way that is open to officials across the political spectrum.
• Attend public meetings and observe how decisions are made.
• Present resident feedback and chapter findings to decision-makers.
• Run service projects and community initiatives that address a documented local need.

• Endorse or oppose any candidate, party, campaign, or ballot question.
• Carry out campaign work, canvassing, fundraising, or distribution of campaign materials in our name.
• Use chapter channels, events, mailing lists, or materials for partisan messaging.
• Imply that YouthConnect Network or an advisor endorses a candidate or party.
• Accept sponsorship or in-kind support from a political campaign or party committee.

Members of our Advisory Council include people who hold or have held public office. Their guidance to YouthConnect Network is nonpartisan and does not represent an endorsement of any party or campaign by YouthConnect Network, nor an endorsement of any candidate by us. Individual members, advisors, and volunteers are free to take part in political activity personally - on their own time, not in the chapter's name and not through chapter channels.

A longer-term goal of YouthConnect Network is to develop responsible pathways for young people to take part in community governance and local decision-making, such as youth seats on advisory bodies and structured resident consultation with HOA boards, school bodies, and municipal committees. These pathways are developed with the relevant institution, follow that institution's rules, and remain nonpartisan.
