Privacy Policy

This policy covers information collected through youthconnect.network and through the forms on this site. YouthConnect Network is a youth-led civic and community leadership network, and information submitted here is handled by YouthConnect Network staff.

We only collect what you choose to send us through a form:

• Contact form: your name, email, organization or community, topic, and message.
• Start a Chapter application: your name, email, age or grade, school or organization, community, city and state, role, proposed adult advisor details, availability, and the answers you write.
• Partner inquiry: your name, email, organization, organization type, role, city and state, optional phone number, areas of interest, and your message.
• Newsletter: your email address.

We do not run advertising trackers, sell data, or build advertising profiles.

• To reply to you and follow up on your request.
• To review chapter applications and contact your proposed adult advisor.
• To evaluate and coordinate partnerships.
• To send occasional network updates if you subscribed.
• To produce aggregate, non-identifying activity counts for reporting.

Submissions are stored in our secure database and are visible only to authorized YouthConnect Network administrators who are signed in. Access is restricted by account role. We do not sell or rent your information, and we share it with third parties only where necessary to operate the site, to comply with the law, or to protect someone's safety.

Where an applicant is under 18, we ask for parent or guardian consent as part of the application and we limit the information we request to what the application genuinely requires. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this website. If you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.

We keep submissions for as long as needed to respond, run the relevant program, and maintain basic records - and then delete them. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

You can ask us to correct or delete the information you submitted, or unsubscribe from updates, by emailing admin@youthconnect.network. We will act on reasonable requests promptly.

Data is stored with access controls and row-level security so that only signed-in administrators can read submissions. No online system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive personal, medical, or financial details through these forms.

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page.
